The winner of eight Emmy Awards for his work as a news correspondent takes to task 100 people who he believes are muddying the integrity and morality of American society. While his voice is better suited for the newsroom, he makes his case with vocal agility and verbal cleverness. Goldberg takes pokes at celebrities like Michael Jackson and Michael Moore, politicians like Ted Kennedy and Howard Dean, activists, intellectuals, and television "Schlockmeisters." He also takes aim at former Louisiana State Rep and KKK leader David Duke, as well as Judge Roy Moore, who refused to remove the Ten Commandments from his Alabama courthouse. In all, this program is as thought provoking as it is rousing and entertaining. S.E.S. (c) AudioFile 2005, Portland, Maine

Left-wing, right-wing, blue state, red state, Republican or Democrat, no matter what label you wear, this is one fascinating -and challenging -book. Goldberg is definitely a right-wing, red-state Republican, but his look at the 100 mostly left-wing, blue-state Democrats is right on target. His argument isn -t that they are stupid for believing what they do but that they bear a large part of the blame for what -s wrong in America and for the garbage that passes itself off as -art - in today -s society. For example, there is the Florida congresswoman who is outraged that hurricanes seem to be given only -white - names and that good African American names aren -t being heard; there are the egghead college professors who seem to equate America-bashing with meaningful educational dialog; and the rap -artists - who gleefully rhyme about every depraved sexual and criminal act known to man. Goldberg -s narration adds greatly to the overall enjoyment of this book, and no matter what the listener -s personal viewpoint, there is a lot to think about in this collection of the -Who -s Who of Contemporary Nincompoops. - Highly recommended for all collections." -Joseph L.
