Showing Up for Life

The author of this book is "the other Bill Gates"--the father of the Microsoft founder. But in his family he's "Bill." Gates pre is an accomplished lawyer, a family man, and a philanthropist who continues "showing up," as he puts it, because he likes to work and can still do it. In his book he offers personal anecdotes that offer life lessons about work, personal integrity, generosity, and a litany of other virtues. Gates reads the introduction of his book, and then Patrick Egan takes over. Egan doesn't mimic the sound or cadence of the author's voice., but his clear, easy-to-listen-to style is exactly suited to Gates's storytelling style.
