Transportado por su extensa lectura sobre las haza–as de los "caballeros andantes", Don Quijote, decide salir en busca de las aventuras que le han embelesado. Ahora como "caballero andante" se adjudica el seudónimo de "El caballero de la triste figura". Con fluidos di‡logos y el caracter’stico acento castellano, los actores sin ser espa–oles, logran expresar virtuosamente, los cautivadores y fant‡sticos di‡logos, que pueden enamorar a los escuchas no nativos de este idioma. La voz de Don Quijote en ocasiones es firme con postura de hombre maduro. La mœsica de fondo conserva una calidad sobria y con agradables sonidos ambientales, escuchando incluso los galopes de caballos, ofrecen una lectura placentera. M.B.M. [ENGLISH TRANSLATION]--Transported by his extensive readings of the exploits of "seeking gentlemen," Don Quijote decides to travel in search of the adventures that have enraptured him. Thus transformed, he anoints himself with the pseudonym "The Sad-Figured Knight." With flowing dialogue (Spanish-speaking novices beware) in the characteristic Castilian accent, non-Castilian actors capture the engaging and fascinating prose, as well as attract readers new to Cervantes. The work is presented as a drama with an individual performer for each character. Quijote's deep androgynous voice dominates above that of his groom, Sancho, and all the others.
