In the latest of the South Shores series, Claire Britten, a talented forensic psychologist suffering from narcolepsy, and Nick Markwood, a hardworking attorney, have joined forces in more ways than one. Narrator Courtney Patterson's voice gives Nick a seasoned courtroom baritone in counterpoint to Claire's lighter timbre and higher pitch. Patterson's portrayal of 5-year-old Lexy reflects all of her precociousness. Soon Nick and Claire discover that someone is trying to kill them--but who?
