More than 40 years after the Galactic Empire was overthrown, the aging Han and Leia Solo and Luke Skywalker refuse to slow down. When Han and Leia assist old friend Lando Calrissian, they become embroiled in a scheme that involves pirates, an attempt to take over Lando's business concerns, and the discovery of a new type of reptilian creature that appears indestructible--even to the Force. In the meantime, Luke's effort to visit his son Ben, who is searching for a missing Jedi, brings him into conflict with a Sith assassin. VERDICT In a follow-up novel to the "Fate of the Jedi" series, veteran Star Wars author Denning opens new pathways of adventure and recaptures the feel of the Star Wars universe and its beloved characters. This novel will be particularly appealing to series fans and space opera buffs.
