Grades K-2 Even those who dont know the early chapter book Boos Dinosaur (2006) will enjoy this sequel with the same playful combination of imaginary dinosaur friend and realistic sibling interchange. The dialogue is right on as Boo nags her big brother, Sammy, and convinces him to go along with her wild scenarios. Lively black-and-white drawings extend the fun, with a climactic double-page illustration at the end of each chapter. In one picture, Boo is taking a photo of the dinosaur, and another shows her in a cowboy outfit trying to lasso the playful monster.
