PreS-Gr 2-The students in Mr. Lee's class count all they see on their field trip to the apple farm, starting with 20 name tags and ending with 1 lost tooth. Incorporating cheerful dialogue and rhyming text, this easy-to-read book also introduces facts about apples ("An apple has five holes, /each with seeds inside, '/says Clyde"). Each number is presented in numerical format inside a red apple and also spelled out in red letters in the text.
