Newly broke and on the run, "save-the-world" activist Skylar Davis goes to ground in tiny Christmas, CO, to regroup and get her life back together--with a little help from her friends. She certainly doesn't want to run into drop-dead gorgeous Ethan O'Connor, a Republican senatorial hopeful--and the man she slept with three months ago. But fate has other plans--and so does Ethan, if only his feelings didn't clash with everyone else's demands. VERDICT A passionate, liberal environmental activist and a straight-arrow conservative lawyer looking to the senate set the sparks flying in this nonstop, beautifully crafted adventure that skillfully unwraps a multilayered plot, adds an abundance of colorful characters and a familiar setting, and proves in no uncertain terms that opposites do attract.
