The final entry in the Darkest London series features narrator Moira Quirk conjuring an array of beings divine, demonic, supernatural, and human. Sin Evernight is convinced he must spend all of eternity alone, for he is (in his eyes) an abomination. But Layla Starling has loved Sin ever since they were children and doesn't understand why he continually pushes her away. When Layla learns what she truly is, and why Sin must protect her, their lives change forever. Too many characters and plot points from previous books make appearances for this to be a good starting point for listeners. But fans of the series will be satisfied with this conclusion, especially Quirk's consistently skillful vocal marshaling of its world. K.M.P. � AudioFile 2016, Portland, Maine
