Fleeced

Nat and Ben have been longtime members of the Settler's Club in NYC. On the day after they promised a donation of $4.1 million to the club from the sale of some diamonds, they're both dead, and Regan Reilly, in NYC for a crime conference, is called in to find the diamonds. Carol Higgins Clark ably reads her mystery. At first, she reads too carefully, but eventually she warms up to the excitement and characters she has created. The complexity of the intertwined plots of theft and murder is simplified noticeably by the abridgment.
