It's Christmastime in Caldwell, New York, and Trez is thinking about driving his car into the river. He is still devastated by the loss of his love, Selena (which had series fans up in arms over The Shadows, 2015). Then he meets Therese, a waiter at his brother's restaurant who could be Selena's twin. Therese is proving she can make it on her own after a devastating secret rocks her solid family life. She may be able to reject Trez's offer for better housing, but, after accidentally walking into a shoot-out in his nightclub, she cannot ignore their physical connection. What seems like a passionate whirlwind affair turns less so as Trez is faced with the reality that Therese is not Selena?or is she? The answer is complicated, as is often the case when miracles happen in the world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood.
