In the final book of the Curse of the Jolly Stone trilogy we join Tom Tin and his companions as they desperately try to survive the high seas and return home to England. Lawrence is a master of adventure. A shipwreck, unsavory crew members, THE FLYING DUTCHMAN, slave trading, and a cursed diamond are interwoven as Tom navigates the waters, ever searching to "do the handsome thing" his father would expect. John Keating's narration keeps pace with the voyage. He rarely slows, and he provides characters with distinctive personalities. The relish with which Mr. Horrible executes his plan, the coldness of Mr. Goodfellow, and the optimism of blind Midgley will not easily be forgotten.
