Gr 5-8-Curious minds will learn everything they might want to know about unicorns, from their origin to their ubiquity in pop culture. The text explains the diverse history of unicorns and includes recipes and craft ideas. While the text shares plentiful information about unicorns, it can also serve as a stepping stone for further research. Not only does Gwynne include many tidbits about unicorns, but she also presents the facts in a way that flows well and is easy to read. For example, the sidebars and additional notes are utilized well to supply even more information, such as how to create your own unicorn name and a unicorn habitat checklist. Book and film lists are incorporated throughout. A bibliography and suggested films, shows, and books are featured.
