Grades 6-9 Madelines summer transformation results in a hot boyfriend and entr'e into the Mosts, the A-list clique whose members are always voted most beautiful/popular/funny. After Madelines boyfriend moves away, she begins mentoring three so-called Most-Nots (most in need of a makeover/therapist/basic grooming) and discovers that her status in the Mosts is contingent on pleasing Caro, the Mosts Most. What happens if Madeline has a mind of her own? This is quintessential mean-girl chick-lit material that satisfies without resorting to sex or cursing.
