Fell

A girl and a wolf find themselves connected by the ability to communicate with each another. Neither understands why they possess such power, but both come to realize its importance: The balance of nature is at stake. As animal and human roam together and separately throughout the woods of Transylvania, they conquer personal, emotional, and physical challenges. The wolf Fell and girl Alina meet creatures--some helpful, some treacherous--in the animal and human worlds. Along their journeys narrator Steven Crossley shines. He employs wonderful accents, from Fell's menacing tone to an evil lord's frustrated bitterness. A Bavarian beaver, a jealous boy, and many other characters come to life through assorted English accents. Crossley is outstanding, settling a creative story into a well-paced tale. M.B.
