Grades 8-11 Dealing with intellectual property, fair use, and copyright has always been confusing, but the internet has made sharing content responsibly even trickier. In this entry in the Digital Citizenship and You series (4 titles), Mapua outlines the basics in six concisely and clearly written chapters. He defines digital media, intellectual property, and other terms and explains how copyright and fair use work, focusing on points that would apply the most to a student. In addition, he debunks popular fallacies about copyright and fair use and provides three activities for students to practice and apply what they've learned. The layout is crisp, with good use of white space, appealing sidebars, and plenty of color photographs.
