Gr 8 Up-C-rank Border agent Osamu thinks that he can continue to keep the identity of his friend Yuma a secret, but it will be harder than he thinks. After all, since Border was created to defend Earth from the aliens known as Neighbors, they will do anything they can to find Neighbors hiding in their midst. In this entry, Yuma's alien identity is discovered by more and more people. Some of these people think that he can be trusted and would make a valuable ally, while others think he should be destroyed in order to steal his technology. The challenge is for Osamu and Yuma to figure out who their real allies and enemies are, while continuing to help fight wave after wave of invading monsters controlled by the Neighbors. Ashihara's artwork is once again dynamic and exciting, filled with awesomely imagined monsters and off-kilter panels. This volume ends with another cliff-hanger, as Osamu realizes that he might have misjudged one of his allies and that his closest friends may be in more danger than ever before. This is a great addition to an intriguing series, and readers can look forward to future installments that will expand on what will happen to Osamu, Yuma, and the rest of the human and Neighbor civilizations.-Andrea Lipinski, New York Public Library
