DOGO Books
alicew - This book may contain the most changes in the whole series of the Mortal Instruments because people are changing, things are changing, relationships are also changing. Your mouth may be sore after reading this book because you can never shut your mouth due to the excitement and suprises the book gives you. The best part in this book is when kyle revieled his true identity, I had an idea at first, but I didn't know it would be that shocking. Also, Magnus may have turned into one of my favorite chacter now, because also he is a little stubborn, he is reall kind towards the other characters and are always willing to help. At last, I would always recommend this book to kids around 13~30, because it gives you a feeling like life is an adventure and it never ends until you let it.

Gr 2-6-The titles in this series introduce young viewers to a variety of artists and their work. In this program, Puffer the puffin goes to Florence, Italy, where his friend Polly teaches him about Renaissance artists. Elements of the Renaissance are briefly introduced and then information about Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael is presented. A brief biography of each artist is presented, and two examples of his art are examined in detail. The material in the DVD is based on the book (Crystal Prods., 2010) by Pamela Geiger Stephens. Jim McNeill's soft, computer-generated illustrations are simply animated. There are also photographs of these masterpieces: "5 Grotesque Heads" and "Mona Lisa" by Leonardo da Vinci; Michelangelo's "Pieta" and "The Creation of Adam" (carefully framed for elementary audiences); and Raphael's "The School of Athens" and "St. George and the Dragon." This simple yet interesting introduction to an important part of our artistic heritage will be embraced by art teachers for use with young students.-Teresa Bateman. Grades 8-11 Originally a trilogy, the Mortal Instruments series now continues, with two more installments planned. Here, many familiar characters make an appearance, including some from Clockwork Angel (2010), and Clary and Jace's relationship is even more fraught with drama: Jace is plagued with horrifying nightmares of killing Clary as the pair investigates the source of demon babies. Simon, a rare Daylighter vampire, struggles to figure out who is trying to kill him. Camille, an ancient vampire, tempts Simon, while an ancient source of evil manipulates them all to an unthinkable end. The cliff-hanger close will leave series fans clamoring for more.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2011, American Library Association.)
