Too Short for the Court

Grades K-2 Morgan loves to play basketball and practices a lot, but as the shortest girl on her school team, she's overmatched by the taller girls on the court. With the team set to play in the championship game, Morgan worries that her shortness and inability to play well will hurt their chances. Her friend and teammate Alexis has a plan, however, and she helps Morgan train to play against taller opponents. Young basketball fans will enjoy seeing a sports story starring girls. Part of the My First Graphic Novel series aimed at beginning readers, the book features simple text in large type. There are few panels per page, and the colorful, cartoony art is very clear and not too finely detailed.
