Toddler-PreS-This sweet, old-fashioned counting book introduces the numbers from one to 20 in a lilting, rhyming text and Tudor's signature naturalistic paintings. They feature birds' nests, flower chains, apple trees, and barefoot children of another era, all of which perfectly match the verses: "11 is eleven girls/dancing in a ring./12 is twelve baby birds/learning how to sing." The lovely detailed artwork alternates between black-and-white and full-color spreads.
