Pig-Heart Boy

Thirteen-year-old Cameron Kelsey is dying. Without a heart transplant, he's unlikely to live much longer. With no human heart donors available, Cameron agrees to undergo a revolutionary experimental operation, or xenograft, in which he will receive the heart of a pig. Patrick Robinson's delivery brings Cameron's suffering, both physical and emotional, to vivid life. Cameron is not prepared for the hatred and distrust he receives from people after the operation and must decide for himself if having become the pig-heart boy is worth it.
