New Birth or Rebirth

Simon Vance's effortless-sounding narration of a fictional chat between Jesus and Krishna is helped along by a real-life Hindu of the twentieth century, Subramaniam, who asks hard questions about Hinduism and Christianity. The author's premise is that both religions contain exclusive claims to truth. Vance interprets the author's work with delicate authenticity and reveals a basic difference between the two faiths: Hindus believe in reincarnation while Christians believe in the resurrection. Vance's crisp, clear presentation provides three benefits for listeners: an appreciation of the distinctive aspects of Christianity and Hinduism, excellent examples of how to dialogue on sensitive issues, and help for seekers on "finding one's way."
