An American Success Story
Updated through the 2012 Olympics. On a July afternoon in 1999, the proudest moment for U.S. soccer occurred in Pasadena, California. In the presence of more than 90,000 fans and viewed by another 40 million on television, the U.S. women outlasted China to win the World Cup. Although the United States has lagged far behind other countries in the men's game, it has been at the forefront when it comes to women's soccer. In the second edition of The U.S. Women's Soccer Team: An American Success Story, Clemente A. Lisi examines how the sport has gained popularity over the past few decades. While other books have been written about the team during a specific year, such as those focused solely on the World Cup win on U.S. soil, Lisi looks beyond this event, detailing the program's infancy and how it steadily became a model for women's teams around the globe. Beginning with the start of the U.S. program in 1985, Lisi recounts the development of the women's team, highlighted by their two first place finishes in the Women's World Cups (1991 and 1999) and four Olympic women's gold medals (1996, 2004, 2008, and 2012). In addition to chronicling the history of the team as a whole, this book offers mini profiles and photographs of some of the best players over the years, including Julie Foudy, Amy Rodriguez, Hope Solo, and Mia Hamm.

This comprehensive history follows U.S. women's soccer from its inception in 1985 to World Cup and Olympic success. Indeed, two World Cups (1991, 1999) and three Olympic golds (1996, 2004, 2008) make for a considerable accomplishment. Lisi ("New York Post; A History of the World Cup, 19302006") details the development of women's soccer in a lively text interrupted only by brief player profiles. Fifteen pages of match results and statistics conclude the volume. This readable text is recommended for soccer fans and academic collections with an emphasis on sports.

3- به خاطر تغییراتی که در فروشگاه های مرجعی که بوکم از آنها کتاب تهیه میکند پیش می آید، ممکن است کتاب خریداری شده ی کاربر قابل تهیه کردن نباشد که در این صورت بوکم مبلغ پرداختی کاربر را به حساب او عودت داده و یا کیف پول او نزد بوکم را شارژ می نماید.
4- بیشتر از کتابهای درخواستی به صورت آنی در اختیار خریدار قرار میگیرد. مواردی که آنی قابل ارسال نیست حداکثر در سه ساعت در زمان کاری تهیه شده و به کاربر اطلاع داده شده و لینک دانلود برای او ارسال میشود.
5- کاربران موظف به حفظ محتوای خریداری شده توسط خودشان هستند و بوکم تعهد نگهداری یک ماه از کتاب خریداری شده توسط کاربر را دارد.
6- کاربرانی که در تامین محتوا و همکاری در فروش با بوکم همکاری دارند بایست طبق قوانین جمهوری اسلامی ایران اقدام به فروش در پلتفرم بوکم نمایند و پاسخگوی مراجع ذی صلاح درباره محتوای فروشی خود در بستر بوکم را به عهده دارند.
7- فایل فروخته شده با ارائه دلیل منطقی(مثل کیفیت نامناسب کتاب برای خوانش) تا 24 ساعت از سوی کاربر قابل عودت می باشد.
