Vogt’s disappointing second Destination Wedding novel (after Crazy Little Thing Called Love) contains little character development and a disjointed narrative. All her life, Caron Hollister has craved the approval of her father, Russell. She played basketball in high school because he liked it, became a realtor and joined his company, and is dating a man he likes. When Russell makes a business decision without warning her beforehand, she quits and takes a vacation to Telluride, Colo., to clear her head. Former Army Ranger Kade Webster is working hard on getting his realty company off the ground, and the last thing he needs is a blast from his past in the form of his ex-flame, Caron. However, she soon discovers that she still has feelings for Kade, despite their break-up two years prior. This Christian contemporary romance suffers from pacing issues, as the characters are too focused on their own inner monologues and interactions between them are minimal. Agent: Rachelle Gardner, Books & Such.
