The Secret Things of God

Henry Cloud attempts two things with this book: a response to Rhonda Byrne's occult-influenced work THE SECRET and a further discussion of the spiritual side of the Christian walk (on which he has written a number of works). This book tries to be transparent, using psychological jargon to inform the listener of how THE SECRET stacks up--or, more often, doesn't stack up--to scripture. In doing so, Cloud relies on embarrassingly dumbed-down vernacular, such as "the Creator has a thing for you," to make the book accessible.
