Using a question-and-answer format to introduce each section and then expanding on each topic, the author provides readers with succinct explanations of why cats behave as they do and how to successfully live with a cat. The book is an excellent choice for someone planning to adopt a kitten as well as for experienced cat owners with senior cats.

The author sensibly advises owners to always first be sure the cat doesn't have health issues before assuming there's a behavioral problem.
