Surly Highland werewolf warrior Duncan MacNeill is less than thrilled about his trip to the tropics. While leaving the airport, Duncan catches the scent of an unmated female wolf, who immediately complicates his mission. American botanist and werewolf Shelley Campbell came to study the plant life, but when it turns out her university funding has been pirated by the same fiend who robbed Duncan, she finds herself fixated on helping the hunky male wolf instead. When the thief displays a romantic interest in Shelley, Duncan must calculate a plan to stalk his prey without endangering the woman he hopes will become his mate.
