Victoria Ashton hoped that after 10 years everyone might have forgotten the scandal. On that account, Victoria proved to be sadly mistaken. Not only did Blake Mallorey remember but he also blames Victorias family for the entire affair, and Blake intends on seeing to it that they pay. After buying up all of her fathers outstanding loans, Blake informs Victoria that he intends to financially destroy her family unless Victoria agrees to become his mistress. Even though Victoria has a much better head for figures than most men, the amount of money she has secretly invested in Londons Stock Exchange isnt nearly enough to pay back Blake, leaving her no other option but to agree to Blakes terms.
