A Valentine for the Veterinarian

Deputy Alex Santiago is new in town and a heart-stopper for sure, but Cassie Marshall, local veterinarian and single mom, has had enough of cops. She certainly wants nothing to do with the sheriff's department that allowed the drunk off-duty officer who injured her father to stay on the force. Still, the attraction between Cassie and Alex sizzles from the start. Then four-year-old Emma decides that Alex should be her mother's valentine, and the pair's single days are numbered. VERDICT A relationship-wary single mom intent on doing the best for her daughter and a caring deputy who fears he'll turn out like his irresponsible dad find happiness in a romance made all the richer for the presence of bubbly preschooler, a brave K-9 shepherd, and a foundling kitten named Trouble.
