Nobody but You

Narrator Karen White returns the listener to Cedar Ridge, Colorado, in Shalvis's contemporary romance. Army Special Forces officer Jacob Kincaid is returning after years of estrangement from his family, especially his twin brother. Disrupting his solitude is Sophie Marren, who is living on her ex-husband's boat near Jacob's dock. White skillfully portrays Sophie with a Southern accent that becomes more pronounced as her temper increases. She uses a light touch to convey the childlike wonder of Jacob's disabled mother and the humorous situations she gets into.
