One night of fun before Lily Boscastle and her dear friend Jonathan Grace announce their engagement. That is all Lily wants, and it is exactly what she gets when she attends the literary masquerade hosted by Lord Philbert. Surrounded by readers and writers, Lily is in literary heaven, especially because rumor has it that the infamous Lord Anonymous, author of the best-selling Wickbury novels, might be at the event. While Lily doesnt ever find her favorite author, she does indulge in a bit of harmless flirting with notorious rake Samuel Charles Aubrey St. Aldwyn, Duke of Gravenhurst. One kiss and Lily almost forgets she is almost engaged to Jonathan, which has Samuel wondering just what Lily might do if she ever discovers Samuel and Lord Anonymous are one in the same person.
