When a man is murdered outside a nightclub belonging to one of London's four vampire princes, Kate agrees to investigate despite her reluctance to work for vampires. Her search leads her to many dead ends, and each failure entangles her further in the arcane world of supernatural politics as the trail points to werewolf communities, haunted forests, faerie realms, and halls of vampiric power. VERDICT The author of Glitterland launches an urban fantasy series featuring a morbidly witty, complex heroine whose determination to discover the truth takes her down dangerous paths. Gay and lesbian readers should particularly enjoy the author's wry humor and savvy style, while fans of Laurell K. Hamilton's erotic style will find much to delight them.
