Wicked Charms

This quirky paranormal romance is as delightful and unsubstantial as the heroine's cupcakes. Narrator Lorelei King once again ably portrays Lizzy, a young baker from Salem, Massachusetts, who makes magical cupcakes--and who has the ability to detect enchanted objects. King also portrays Diesel, a hunky guy who perpetually needs Lizzy to find these enchanted objects in order save the world from evil. An array of delightfully crazy secondary characters gives King a chance to display her many character voices--although the voices of Diesel and Lizzy's friend Clara sound enough alike to make the story confusing at times.
