SUPERNATURAL SUSPENSE WITH A SIDE OF SIBLING RIVALRY--
If it’s the characters that make you love a book, Tim and Eddie McCloskey are as memorable a pair of ghostbusters—excuse us! “Paranormal Investigators”-- as you’ll ever find. Tim’s serious, scientific, solid, and out of shape, but has a cute girl friend, Eddie’s handsome but can't get a girl friend. He's also personable, good with kids, relaxed, yet thoroughly irresponsible. (At least irresponsible according to Tim.) Watching these guys interact is half the fun.
But
thrills and chills also abound, along with a clever paranormal mystery, as a ghost named Billy haunts a boy named Billy in a house where a mom, dad, and another boy named Billy were murdered in a melee that gives new meaning to the term “dysfunctional family.” What's up with all the Williams? Can't help wondering, can you? It’s one of the cleverest and most intriguing aspects of the mystery.
And make no mistake, mystery it is (as well as a scary ghost story). Tim and Eddie, along with their ghost-hunting helpers, Moira and Stan, function as a finely tuned team of private investigators, with Moira doing the research, Stan on IT, Tim running the show, and Eddie…well,
Eddie’s the people person. Everyone loves him, especially kids. You will too. Especially if you’re a fan of supernatural thrillers, love Stephen King and Dean Koontz, and can't get enough of haunted house movies, like “The Haunting of Hill House,” “House on Haunted Hill,” “The Shining,” “The Amityville Horror,” “Poltergeist”, and of course “Paranormal Activity” itself.
Horror fans as well as mystery addicts will eat this one up! It's a paranormal horror/thriller that features riveting suspense, terrifying horror, and a compelling mystery. "A terrific supernatural chiller from an underappreciated writer." - Adrian McKinty, critically-acclaimed author of the Sean Duffy crime thrillers.

˃˃˃ Q&A with the author, Evan Ronan
Q: How would you describe The Unearthed series?
A: Fast, fun, often scary books that are all a little bit different and span genres. The Unearthed is more a slow-burn horror story with elements of mystery. The main character is Eddie McCloskey, who grows a lot as a character throughout the series. He’s great fun to write.
Q: Why did you want to write this first book?
A: The big twist at the end came to me in a rare moment of epiphany. I won’t go into detail about the twist to respect the spoiler, but once I had that idea I built the story around it.
Q: What does it mean to you when readers buy your books?
A: It’s the ultimate compliment. I might never be a best-selling author, but the feedback from readers I’ve gotten is wonderful. It’s really touching when you look at someone’s Amazon profile and discover their first review of anything on the website is your book. They not only bought the story, they went out of their way to tell others about it.
Q: Why do you make each book in the series a little different?
A: For my own sanity and to keep the readers guessing as to where the story will go. The Lost is a suspense thriller. The Accused and the Damned is a paranormal legal thriller. The Hysteria is a paranormal action thriller. The Traveler is a murder mystery. I love putting Eddie in different situations, so he’s out of his comfort zone in every story. That makes for compelling fiction.
