The Triumph of Caesar

Gordianus the Finder returns to Rome and is hired by Calpurnia, Julius Caesar's wife, to unravel the plot to murder Caesar during the staging of his four Triumphs (in 46 BCE). While seeking those who would kill Caesar, Gordianus follows clues left by his friend Hieronymous of Messilia, who was murdered while in Calpurnia's employ. Ralph Cosham performs this historical mystery in clear tones and subtle differentiation between the characters. Women are portrayed with light tones, while men's voices vary according to their personality. In a world of intrigue and political unrest, Gordianus inserts himself into the lives of the upper classes, including Brutus, Cicero, Caesar, and Marc Antony.
