Hart's second (after "Dirty") of three erotic novels to be published in the Harlequin Spice line revolves around Sadie, a psychologist in her mid-thirties who is married to the love of her life. So why on the first Friday of each month does she meet another man to share lunch and explicit stories of his sexual adventures? Sadie's fantasy affair is the highlight of her quiet life, but her guilt and shame are equally powerful. This is not a traditional romance but the story of a real and complex woman caught in a difficult situation with no easy answers. Well-developed secondary characters and a compelling plot add depth to this absorbing and enticing novel. This work should be suggested to readers who enjoy erotica with real-life characters and situations and a healthy dose of steamy, graphic sex, although these scenes will make the book less appealing to fans of women's novels and romance who prefer less sex and more fantasy in their fiction.
