Linked by weddings, royals, and a whimsical touch, these two short stories, previously published in anthologies, make a delightful duet and are rare offerings from a writer who generally focuses on longer formats. High on champagne and furious with the Earl of Lovedon for his cruel, careless remarks about her just-married sister and her sister's royal groom, Chloe Sharp challenges him to a duel in "Lord Lovedon's Duel," first published in Royal Bridesmaids (2012). A wealthy young woman breaks her engagement to an impoverished lord because she wants to marry for love in "The Jilting of Lord Rothwick," first published in Royal Weddings (2011).
