Realizing her workaholic boss has forgotten a file he needs for an upcoming trip, Emma drives to his rural estate only to find Lucas Jackson drunk and deeply depressed on the anniversary of his daughter's death. But when the weather worsens and Emma refuses to leave Lucas alone, grief turns to passion, and they end up in each other's arms--and then must figure out how to deal with the awkward aftermath and their growing feelings for each other. VERDICT A grief-stricken, tormented hero unable to forgive the past and a caring, responsible heroine who helps him heal eventually find love in this deeply emotional romance that is typical of RITA Award winner Morgan's (Defying the Prince) work. Morgan lives near London, England.
